A big thanks to everyone with input on my well pump.. Replaced the pump/motor, and after countless trips to town for overlooked parts, she's going again.. Went out on Saturday; got her going about an hour ago. After my wife does a load of dishes, I'm takin' a shower.

Good to hear that. I am going to get a new well drilled this week. The old sand point seemed to clog up when we were away for awhile. Right now I am running on a long hose from the neighbors place. We had the hose going the opposite way about five years ago when He had a new well put in.

Glad you got it goin again.

Be thankful you guys have good wells.. We have to go to town every week to get a load of water. Our wells here either lack water period, or are horrible with iron and sulfur. If I had a bigger holding tank, maybe I'd only have to get water once a month.. but then I'd have to haul 4 loads.. LOL.. Just easiest to haul one load (1000 gal nurse wagon like they use for liquid fertilizer) one time a week. (OH.. and it's a real joy in January and February..)

Growing up Dad had to haul water all the time. Sunday morning was the day to haul water. During the winter the well had a little water to pump up to the water tank on a hill above the buildings. Stan

Always good to have H2O on tap. The well I owned in Montana waqs 500 feet deep and had a nine stage Red Jacket set at 460 Ft. Pulling it out made a serious pile of pipe!! The water was so mineralized it had to be Reverse osmosis processed to drink. Jim
