How many remember the first tractor you drove? How about the first girl you kissed?Dad'sFord 8N.Her name was Mary Jeanett.

DeltaRed,
I have had a magnetic sign on my tractor for several years that states:
"An old man never forgets the first tractor he drove and the first girl he kissed".

A year ago, at a funeral visitation, I met that girl (from 1955 in high school) so I introduced her to my wife by saying to my wife "Do you remember that sign on my tractor? Well, this is that girl". They both said "Hi" to each other but the conversation between them went nowhere (!).

And...that girl still looked pretty darned good, just like my pretty little 1950 "H" Farmall.
LA in WI

First tractor, a 1948 D John Deere my Dad bought new. Still have the tractor. First kiss, a 16 year old red head. Still have the girl, been married 27 years.

Mine was a John Deere A that we were trying to pull start in vocational school. The guy driving the pickup was going quite fast, and I"d never pull started anything before. Not the smartest thing to do, I don"t think any school would let you do that today. Can"t remember if we ever got that thing running.

a john deere something, somewhere in rhode island near providence at age 16. the girl, about the same age, my wife of 43 years.

first tractor i drove was a farmall C dont remember which girl was the first girl, there have been too many lol[ girls and years ]

First tractor was my uncle"s Farmall. The other part leaves me out.

First boy I kissed was on a dare. His name was Robert.

1926 Fordson. A neighbor girl named "Judy". I was 15 and she was 13. She's been involved in my life ever since. In the following order: She married someone else. She introduced me to my wife of 44 years. My wife and I became Godparents of her youngest daughter. Her husband and I were heavily involved in racing late model stock cars for 12 years. Still see her every week or two.

First tractor driven was my dad's Farmall Super C.

Still have the Bush Hog mower and IH disc that came with it.

My neighbor now owns the tractor.

Kissed a girl in my first grade class; just a small kiss on her cheek.

Got a paddling for kissing her from Mrs. Russell my first grade teacher.

Remember that her dad was a fireman; he drove her to school one day in the big, red firetruck.

For the last 22 years and 2 months, been kissing Nancy.

First tractor was a cub cadet 126 then a 656 hydro diesel. First girl was either Diana or Dani. Not sure who was first.

Great stories!keep em coming. The best, last, and most important is my lovely bride,Susan.25 years on January 4!

I drove a 8N when I was 3,My Dad and brother sent me to the house on it but when i got there I didnt weigh enough to push the clutch in,so i drove around the yard untill my sister came out and shut the engine off

First tractor I drove was either a Farmall H or Super H or an M or super M not sure which. It was for a church fund raiser and we where picking up corn that the picker left behind. Surprising how much corn those old 2 row pickers left on the ground. That would have been about 44 years ago. As for the First girl that would have been Melody Good and I was in Jr. high at the time in Athens TN. Sure wish I could find that girl just to see how she is but that is true of a good number of other people

Funny how I can remember that but not what I done 10 minutes ago. LOL My dad's 1947 John Deere B he baught new, (not new when I drove it LOL). My uncle & brothers said I was five the first time I drove it, myself I don't remember the age but I remember driving it. The girl's name was Cindy we was 13/14, her parents where friends with my parents, she loved visiting the farm. Maybe I should have chased after her rather then my first two X's LOL. Just remembered, first time driving tractor, over 50 years ago, first kiss over 40 years ago, WOW, now that I didn't want to remember LOL. I Spent years on that old B and other tractors with no problems, wish I could say that about the X's LOL.

Was a beatiful ford super dexta... remember it like it was yesterday. She was abandoned in an old hay barn, gently fixed her two front tires, pulled a battery out of the truck and fired her right up. Wow.. I was trembling as we drove our first trip together. PO only wanted $2600 for her... What a thrill,, she never let me down, never cheated on me.

dont remember the first tractor though...

While "chowing down" at Subway, remembered the little girl's name is Karen.

She came to visit with her grandparent's one summer before our Senior year in high school.

Started dating one of my good friends and they later had a "shotgun" wedding around Christmas.

She graduated high school with us in May and divorced my good friend shortly after their son was born.

forgot lynnette was first real date and parking I was 16 first kiss and , well and checking it out was brouwinn (Jewish) They came to visit, stayed 4 days. I was 12 Then 3 day of visit her dad caught us incorn crib, we got all clothes on just in time!!!!!!!!!

Never kissed her but when I was not yet 4 neighbor girl at end of farm lane . We played together some she was just 2 and not completely shall we say housebroke. While we were playing I filled her underware with sand from the sand box. Her mom whipped me then my mom whipped me. However to this day (61 years) she is still called Sandy in out community. When I was in second grade small school with the desks where the seat made the front on next desk and all had inkwells. Girl in front had long braided hair. I stuck pencil in her braid which was carefully placed through the inkwell. When she tried to gey up her head got a good yank backward. She in on uncertain terms on bus after school informed me she would get even. over 20 years later (we had mover to different school district) I was in small grocery same small town getting a sandwich made, this tall beautifull lady walked over after silently observing for a while and slapped the crap out of me. I mean she laid it on. I realed back and said lady come I was checking you out but hey I never said a word. You shouldn't hit a guy for just thinking!! On no she said I though you were somewhat familuare then I saw you name on the pick-up. I am naomie and I said I would get you back. I said I gurss your still mad. Oh no I was just paying you back. I'm her visiting my parents. Then she asked if I had time for coffee. We must have spent 2 hours visiting.

Tractor was dad's 8N- the only tractor he ever owned, by the way.

Girl was Pat- a cousin by marriage (my widowed grandma married her widowed grandpa). She lived about 80 miles away, so we wrote a lot of letters (remember those?). She had the most perfect handwriting I ever saw. Saw her a few years ago- she's "bulked up" a bit, but then, so have I.

First tractor, WD45 Allis hauling hay wagons, 42 years ago. First real kiss, the girl I've been married to for 28 years

1941 JD A. My son has the tractor now, since I retired. Last yrs had the loader on it all the time. Still runs & can be used any time. I was 8 yrs old when Dad bought it new.
