What to pay????

Fenders on my quad are about shot (get muddy/wet ever time I ride it) and I get dirty looks because I take it out in public a lot. Only replacements I found were expensive and shipping even more. Neighbor kids (17 and 22) are both out of work body guys. Said they culd fix me up for 30 bucks. I don't really think that is fare to them so want to give them some more but don't want to give them the big head (may have them paint my tractor :roll: ).

What value would some of you put on repairing and spraying (spray bomb) some camo paint to look decent (OK) and keep yout feet/legs clean/dry?

If the neighbor kids are willing to do something for $30 and you are not concerned how it looks go for it! If you get $30 worth of mud guards you will be satisfied. If they do, in your opinion, more than $30 worth of work, then give them more.
If you want it to look like it has new fenders you will have to buy new fenders...

Dave. Some good advice is comming. Bondo & rattle can paint isn't the answer.!!!! no matter how cheep it's done. Aftermarket fenders aren't that expensive to replace. SHADE TREE-DENNIS KIRK handles most parts. Over in Minneapolis there are a couple of places that handle used stuff for 4 wheelers. I Know that the freight would be almost prohibitive BuTTTTTTTTTTT if you intend to keep it, then thats the solution. There has to be places over there that has parts from wrecked units, also if they(body men) are good enough doing repairs, then fiber glass could be another solution.I don't like QUICK FIXES but again, clear plastic sheets (formed and bended using a heat gun )could be another solution. Try and use a small wagon to haul with rather then the fenders. Not ment to be a smart azz.just offering information to help ya.

I'd give them the opportunity to fix for their price, and if you are more than happy with their work pass a little more to padd your possible next business relationship with them.

Who knows why kind of inventive mind they have .---(grin) Lets see "Mercedes fenders" ---HMMMmmmm !
