How to clean Eraser out of a spray tank.

I've been using a 15 gal tank to spray Eraser systemic weed killer along the fence rows. I'm going to use a bigger tank to do that job. Any sugestions on how to clean the residual herbicide out of the tank so I can use the sprayer to spray
fungicide, miricle grow etc. What about washing the tank out with detergent say three times and running a couple of tanks full of soapy water through the pump and wand? I understand I need to clean the oily residue out of the tank. Any suggestions. Thanks!

You can buy a nutrilizer at the farm supply. I would wash it literally 25 times. Then test it on a small area to make sure you don't erase a whole field. If you are rinsing the lines , fittings etc. be advised it takes alot of rinsing. Ever notice how long it takes to get all the soap out of a sponge. My experience in cleaning these tanks is similar.

may have better luck to just keep that tank for herbicides and use a new one foe ferteliser could save lots of frustration

Thanks, I think I will keep it for weed killer. The wife would not be happy if I killed off her flower garden.

Regular old ammonia will clean out and neutralize all common weed chemicals. I have switched back and forth for years. I also use it to clean my field sprayer when switching to vegetables. Most weed control chemical have an oil base so the ammonia breaks it up easy. Our state certified chemical manual states this too.

When I was pulling a tanker truck we were told to use Clorox Bleach in case of a leak. (there was 5 gal on every trailer.)

Thanks for the ammonia suggestion. I looked up the amount to use per 25 gal of water. That should clean it out.
