I have 1954 Super H. I need to know what the thing is called that comes into the carburetor from the gas line. It is like a fitting with a filter on it. What is it and where can I find one? Once again,it's like a brass fitting with a filter or screen attached to it. I broke the one that was on there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
What did you break? it you broke the screen, you would be better off to leave it out and get an inline filter from the auto parts store. if you broke the brass part, check with the local hardware store.
 
Try taking it into a NAPA store or a similar auto parts store, they may have something that will work to replace or repair it. Or they could help substitute an inline filter.

The brass part is an obsolete item in any hardware store. You will NOT find one. If the screen broke, you can solder it back in, or make a new one using the fine mesh brass screen from a sediment bowl. just roll it into a cylinder shape, cut the ends off to the proper length, and solder it into the brass fitting. If you need the complete assembly, visit your local Case-IH dealer.
