How did you hurt yourself today?

Here is what I did. I was removing the trans drain plug on my A/C M. It is not a tpaered plug, but a large flat plug with a washer. I put my wrench on it, and it let loose all at once. I managed to have my finger right below the nail between my wrench, and the draw bar. Talk about hurt. Like my other cuts, it will heal up in time. stan

Tried loosening the bolt on a 2294 tie rod. With one mighty jerk, caught my forearm on a bolt, and the back of my arm hit the frame mounted tool box. 2 scrapes in one!

Trying to get a gutter screen out of the downspout area. Of course there were two sheet metal screws down in the opening holding the downspout on. Cut up my hand, was bleeding like heck and all the time down in the water full of rotting plant and tree parts and drowned bugs. Probably real sanitary

Stupidly, is how I hurt myself today. My wonderful lady intended to serve me a warmed-up boiled egg & heated it in the microwave. Overheated it seriously in the m-wave! Took a bite out of it & it exploded in my face, spewing molten eggyolk on my face which burnt my lips, nose, cheeks & mouth! Start your day out like that! Spent the day holding cold cans against my face til evening. Tornado had broken off a big limb that smashed the chainlink fence in the backyard & left another limb hanging (widowmaker). Cut it up this evening. Finally, something safe to do!!

Does not getting all the "honey do"s done after I get off work count? Of course that seems to be a nearly daily injury. Gets worse as the hay gets ready to work. DOUG

Upon exiting the cabin I gave the door a good pull and caught a finger in the closing door. Not broken. Not even close.

Didn't do it today, but last week I was srewing a splice holding two pieces of PVC together for my garden trellis. Working above my head, screwing from the underside, the cordless drill slipped off the screw as I was pushing to get the screw in. Ran the phillips tip into my thumb about an inch below the first joint. Bled like crazy. Should have had a stitch or two, but it's healing quite well.

Working with a old friend Barb Wire the other day , you may know her . She clawed my arms up and I have a lot of heavy scraches all over them . Now anything I do the scabs get pulled off and from the elbows down it looks like I m bleeding my last drop . The rest of me just hurts , cant always tell if thats a new pain or if it s been there a while . The more it hurts the tougher ya gota get , I ve wore out 2 sets of teeth grittin em !!

got a message from my 3 slipped discs when i climbed out of my kw at a job and the ground was gone, acutally i was being spotted, by a helper to get backed into a tough place, i got out when i got the truck in there and found i was parked over a low place where water drained, naturaly out of the whole truck, this spot was right under my running boards, so instead of being about 14 inches to the ground, it was more like 24, still hurt

Actually it was Monday. I arced my metal watch band between a positive terminal and ground working on a pickup. It sure got hot in a hurry!

Had a small hot gob go down the front of my shirt while welding. I did a little dance 'till it cooled down. I had on my welding jacket all snapped up but I was in a position where I had to crane my head back to look up at the work and it opened up a little bit I guess.

2 yrs ago in Feb I put my ring finger in a place on the mast of a forklift as I was running it up and down listening for a binding noise. You know, right where they put the sticker with the international symbol of fingers flying off? Well my 3/4 inch dia finger went through a 1/4 in space, I think... It never came off, didn't break. but split like a hot dog and squeezed the fingernail right off. no trip to doctor and don't tell anyone. Its called an HIA (head in A$$)

Trying to get a heifer in to pull a calf - ended up with patch of skin missing on my finger. Must be a nail somewhere in the barn that was sticking out. I don"t remember doing it but it sure stings when I bend it.

It's too early in the morning. I don't usually hurt myself until mid-afternoon. Most recent one is when I ran the third toe on my left foor into the bedpost.

Yesterday I was welding some skids on a snow blower and I went to move it and my left index finger was sticking out of a hole in the leather glove. Wow that was hot. I ran cold water on it for 10 minutes and today it is pretty good. I threw the gloves away one day too late.

Guy was out getting creek gravel yesterday the 11th and got stuck. I tried to pull him out with my 841 ford with a Sherman combo tranny. Didn't get him out and after that my back was really acting up. Not to bad this morning but maybe those cans of muscle relaxers helped last night. Oh and the truck is still in the creel and we got 2.5 inches of rain last night and the creek is coming up fast so it most likely has wet tires right now

Holding the carburetor off my generator in my left hand. Going to take the bowl off & clean the carb, but screws wouldn't back out. Get electric impact driver and put on screw. Pull trigger. Spins twice and slips off, punching a hole in my hand between thumb and forefinger there. Nice pencil size hole. That was Apr. 29. 2 weeks & several bandaids later, looking much better. Sure wish someone would invent a tool for holding things while you work on them...

I have to "hug" everything to hang on to it. My wife always wonders how a man can come in the a dirty belly. Otherwise I cant hang on to it. Got a couple bandaids on that area as well to boot.

I bought another tractor I didn't need with money I didn't have and got found out by a wife that didn't understand.

Woke up this morning with a big bruise on my left foot. I have no idea where it can from unless the wife kicked me during the night

Well Thanks Billy,
Woke up yesterday with a sore shoulder and today was fine.
Might sleep in tomorrow - just in case!

like Billy at 62 it hurts just to get out of bed...takes me hour & half to get ready for work ...used to do it in 1/2hr.
