Local scrap man has an RC that he found this past week and it is going to be scrapped soon. I talked to him this morning, and took a look at the tractor. It is complete, but the motor is stuck and all 4 rims are junk. Rear tires are actually pretty decent yet. I can get it for $500, otherwise it goes. Sound like something I should buy, or let it go? I have an RC already, and I know they are collectible, but I don't know with all 4 rims rotted out and a stuck engine if it is something I should buy or not. Need to make a decision today or the fire wrench will see it soon.
 
They are a bit scarce, I wold say 500 would be it worth saving yes!! Beauty is you could put a c engine it it?
 
An RC is one of the less common tractors around so if complete and all I would jump on it if you have the $$ to do so. Then fill the cylinders with ATF and see what happens. It could well be that a week or 2 of an ATF treatment and it would free up.
 
Thanks for the opinions jocco and old. I hope I did the right thing financially, but I'm pretty sure I made the right decision in the world of old iron. There is one less RC Allis Chalmers that is going to be made into .$49 imported junk at the large chain stores. The old RC is sitting in my yard. Now to figure out what I am going to do with the thing. I really don't need any more projects. Oh well, maybe I'll live another 100 years and finally have time to get at it!
 
Well see you just pull the plugs out and fill the cylinders with ATF then put them back in to keep dirt etc out and make sure the exhaust is covered well but before covering it pour in more ATF there so as to make sure you have the cylinders full up cap if off and let it sit. By the time you get back to it you might find she spins over and that way your helping it out till you can get back to it
 
You might be able to sell it to another collector and get your $$$$ back and still save it. Where many parts are a cross from a wd and a c many parts are no problem.
