Cub electrical repair

I have an old cub tractor that is not getting any spark. Could be regulator, coil or could be that I didn"t get the wiring hooked up right during a repair and paint job. Anyway it has whipped me, new coil and new points....do you know of anyone in Birmingham, AL or State that is a active member and would be willing to take on this repair. I read the advice, could be this, could be that, I would like someone that knows what they are doing to get her running again. Would pay of course. Tractor: International farmall FCub, Serial No 37281. None of the yellow pages repair shops work on old cubs.

A lot of the time after a tractor is painted you have to scrape the paint back to bare metal in order to get a good ground for the electrical systems ground cable etc., for some reason nobody likes to do this.

When I was a kid my dad bought a new 1947 cub.
In later years it got hard to start and finally could not even start it with the crank.
I found the wire comming out of the distrubitor had insulator that was cracked. Made one out of an old tire. Then it started easily. (replacement parts was out of the question.)HTH

had the ign wire to coil loose on mine, one time
acted up intermittenly
took a while to find as it had come loose over time
