I am interested in buying a 1929 Mccormick Deering 10-20. I was wondering what oil system the engine has. splash? Presurized?

It's not pressurized. The oil pump fills a pan above the oil level that the rods then dip into. The oil pump also sends some oil to the front and back main (ball bearing) bearings. Not all 10/20's or 15/30's have an oil filter, either. If it does have a filter, it's on the same side as the magneto (right side as looking from rear).

The later ones had a filter but it pumps oil up into the splash pan for the rods to catch. You have to oil the rocker shaft every time you use it.

I thnk it would b pressureized, i have one sitting out back that has a pressure gauge on it, and it is a 1929 model. hope to get her runnin soon.

The system is pressure to supply governors, main crank-shaft ball bearings, and dip trays under each crank so the rest of the system, big and small ends and bores, are splash lubricated. Oil filters came in 1929. The valve gear had an oil tray above the valve rockers which was supposed to be filled at the beginning of each day.

It is a pressure fed splash lubed engine. If you call 10 lbs pressure.
The crank, rods, pistons and pins, cam and lifters are all splash lubed from trays filled by the pump and scooped up by the rod caps. It also pumps oil to the governor and the crank drive gear for the cam. Valves and rockers are manually lubed. I know where there's an F20 block with a window in it because one of the oil galley holes got plugged up and that rod decided it didn't want to go up and down anymore.
