I can't figure what's going on with our weather here in Southern Calif. It is the middle of april, and we just had another snow storm in the mountains. The rain hits about every week. I just had to split up some more wood for the stove.I should be well in to my mowing and discing business this time of the year. Work is piling up, but the ground is still too wet. The weather says more rain next Tuesday. We need Al to send some global warming. Hope the weather is better for you wherever you may be.stan

Central Kansas; been pretty dry for couple of weeks but got some badly needed rain today, about 1/2", much more in other locations in Kansas. Predicting a good chance of more moisture tonight and tomorrow. Temps have been about normal.

my grandad would blame it on the russians. he used to say they had a machine that could control the weather. corse, he also told eveybody he wore a size 8 shoe, but a 10 fit better!!!

Send some of that rain to Minnesota. Fire danger is high ,fields are dusty & the rocks need washing so the pickers can find them all.

Been busy up here in Washington....even a bit on the dry side. Lots of gardens to be tilled, fields to be worked. I have already seen some sprinklers going as where there is grass it is sucking the moisture out of the ground fast! I may need to get some water on my onions if I don't get rain soon. We do need more days above 60, tho.

As I said before, we nearly drowned from October to mid-March. Now April has been dry and unseasonably cool. We were planning on seeding the Cheyenne II bermuda in the hay field two weeks ago, but its been too cool. Long range forecast still shows it too cool to seed up through the first w/e of May. Not much rain in the forecast either.

Like Nancy said, we are dry down here in the Houston area after a very wet, cool winter. We have had very little rain since late February. We did have about an inch last weekend, but could stand more.

Has anyone noticed that these strange weather patterns began when the first man stepped on the moon? I Knew an old fellow in Wi. who said," I been here 17 years and everyone of them has been unusual.

Saw that weather report on the Internet for all that snow. Said it may be one to two feet. Hal
PS: It's been lovely weather here the last several days in the high 60's near 70 today. I
painted the wheel weights off my garden tractor
on Thursday and painted several doors from the kitchen that have wooden slats today. I removed them and spray painted them with latex paint. I should've taken a picture of them as I did on the wheel weights. I painted the hubcap too.
