Storing Tractors

I made a deal with my neighbor to use her 3 stall pole barn for storing some tractors in exchange for mowing her lawn and plowing her driveway. The pole barn works out nicely and I can fit 6 narrow front tractors in it if I wanted. Anyone have any idea of what storage would cost if I were to rent a place to store 6 tractors? I think I made a good deal and it only takes me 30 minutes to mow her lawn with my 60" eXmark. I look at it as convenient and cheap storage. What do you guys think?

If it takes you 30 minutes with a 60" zero turn, would be hours for her with a lesser mower- and she probably isn't even equipped to plow the driveway. In exchange for use of a pole building that she wasn't using anyway.

Resist the urge to quantify what its "worth"- its just a good deal for everybody.

Run you about $35. per tractor per month here in Houston. I'd toss in some extra chores or cash for the lady. Make sure she is extra happy with what you do for her.

The places that store boats and RVs around here get about $1/foot (length) per month. Mini-storage garages are higher.

Like Brian said, be sure you know your insurance situation. If you do not have a specific policy on the tractors then they won't be covered while on her property. And you'll get nothing from her policy, even if the building falls down on top of them.

Here in South Dakota I have a neighbor that stores my friends pickup from Norway for $5.00 a month. Also have another neighbor that stores a car that belongs to my Friend from Norway too for $5.00 a month.
