4010 Hydraulic leak

I have a JD 4010 which has developed a leak around the bottom of the right three point rocker arm. Is there a seal at his point and how difficult of a fix is it?

It's leaking quite a bit of fluid.

Any advice is appreciated.

I assume you're talking about the load control shaft seals; not complicated to fix. Shim it up while it's apart; I recommend after-market bushings with o-rings.......probably available at your local JD dealer. If the shaft is worn, replace it, also.

I"ve had to replace both seals on each side on my 4010, It's not too hard to do. The cause is usually three point mounted bale carriers or heavy three point implements that rock back and forth too much. I installed two adjustable "sway chains" on my tractor three point arms and haven't had any problems since.

Here is the company that makes the redesigned seals/bushings. I had to replace the seals in my 2950 two years ago. At the time, they didn't have aftermarket seals for it, so I had to get the seals from JD. The factory seals don't last very long if you do a lot of 3pt work. These aftermarket ones are supposed to be better.
