We planted about six acres of Indian corn that we got from a farmer that raised some from seed he got from a novelty store. We plant corn to sell to hunters to bait deer. He claimed the deer seem to like it better than hybrid corn. The other reason is we have customers that will pay a good price for corn that is dark. We picked out and hand shelled all purple ears and that is what we planted. questions: What are the possibilities that the majority of that corn will be that same color? And all things being equal what would one expect to yield % wise verses normal hybrid seed?
