Hay Tob; What's going on up in the woods? It's totally amasing to me what the major players in the farm equipment business are offering today. It seams that it was only a year or two back, that GPS was an agri-engineer's dream. What's next?

i should be impressed guys , BUT I am bittersweet instead ...equipment like this pushes the little guy out to the sideline , because the mean ,fat ,ugly guy stole his ground,, good argument for CEILING limits of USDA payments, ,, the farm program started in 1985 is a good program , but it guarunteed a profit regardless, and LIMITLESS OF HOW MUCHa farmer raised , Bigger farmer=BIGGER Payment !,, the 30 year old equipment still does just as good a job as the monster hi -tech , that requires nearly as much training as fying a airplane I STRONGLY Believe We had a lot better neighborhood 30 yrs ago , , when everyone was nearly the same size and MINDED THEIR MANNERS ,AND was still willing to help one another out instead of the the backstabbin going on Now adays .... most folks don't even wave when you see them . used to be they would stop and chat ... THE oL' gRAMPAS would be turning over in their graves at how some neighbors have become ..

Sign of the times. I see things like that almost every day here. The first time I ever saw a Case Quadtrack I was amazed by it. Now I barely give one a second glance.

Funny you mention that, I did just that last year under a late model JD sprayer, just flip the ladder up and drive thru. I've got photos of it, not usre if I put em in photobucket yet to post here.

I don't understand how your payments in the US work, in eastern canada at least farmers don't get a cent of help from the gov except for property tax breaks on land kept as farmland. You can enrole in a crop insurance program but its cost recovery, no handouts.
