Oakboro is about 30 miles east of Charlotte in Stanly county. As far as the noise of the Detroit, I wear ear plugs when running the 435.
 
Nice plowing job. I hope your earplugs are just not visible in the picture. . .

I finally broke down and bought some good "earmuff" type noise suppressors the other day- got tired of misplacing my earplugs, cleaning the earwax, etc. Got them from Stihl, so the orange color nicely matches my tractor. And my kids won't be forever asking if I've got my earplugs in.
