A search of the archives on the "N"-specific Forum will bring up quite a few "flavors" of conversion diagrams.

You'll need to know voltage (sounds like it would be 12 Volts as there's an alternator, but 6 Volt version DO exist).

Also, is it an early-model 8N with a front-mount distributor or a later model with a "side-mount" distributor?

Is the coil a 12 Volt coil or has an extra "converting resistor" been used along with the original 6 Volt coil?
