I found a Farmall A today on Criag's list and me an my friend went and looked at it. The A has a broken block but we need it for a B we have. But my friend went all out and also bought a Super A a Moot work behind fail mower and old Frazer tiller and a bunch of other equipment for the A/Super A. Plus the SA has a wood belly mower under it and is still 6 volts and purrs like a kitten and has good tires all that way around. Plus as part of the deal he got all the stuff in the garage that the SA is parked in

Hey Old,
You're gonna have to pace yourself diggin' thru all that stuff. Don't go too fast, you might miss something. Keep us posted about what you find. Wish I could be there to help you look,
Paul

We have a Mott corn stalk chopper, might be similar, ours has a factory 2-cylinder Wisconsin on it. I like it for walking trails as it will trim brush right down to the ground. Parts are available at Flail-master.

This one has a single cylinder engine on it and dual tires for the drive line. Maybe a 3 foot cut and has new blades and even comes with a parts machine and the owners manual

Any more I have no choice but to pace my self. On a good day I can maybe work for an hour then have to sit and take a brake for 30 minutes or more before I can do much else unless I can do it sitting down. Knee has been so bad for the last few days that I have to wear a brace on it or I can not walk more then 100 yards before I have to sit down. Oh well one thing I learned years ago if you want to build a swimming pool all it takes is to throw 5 shovels full of dirt each day and sooner or later you will have a hole for it

I think the walk behind Motts were called B32's but not sure. My dad was a Mott dealer and wondered why they didn't keep the walk behind flail mowers. He was good friends with Mr. Mott(president of Mott) and was sad to hear that he died landing his plane. I forget which Mott it was my dad knew. I think he was the son of the founder of Mott, who originally worked as an engineer for IH. IH wasn't interested in his new hammer knife mower, so he went out on his own and the rest is history. When the flail mower was being developed, they tested it in pig shut to see how good the blades self cleaned. Mott flails were very well built. My dad was the biggest seller of the Interstator in the world when they came out in the 70's. He sold over half of the first 50 they made. He said they sold themselfs. They could mow up to 21ft. wide and were excellent for doing ditches and the sides of highways. They were also very compact when folded up. Dave
