Oats are in

Finished planting oats at noon yesterday. Second year in a row that I've been done before Easter, and Easter's earlier this year. Sure could use some rain though.
82 degrees yesterday and supposed to be again today. What happened to the genius and his clone who called us stupid hillbillies just a couple of months ago, claiming that global warming had caused the ice caps to melt and changed the ocean currents causing it to be colder? Doesn't seem that cold to me. Record highs in fact. Geez, you can't trust anybody these days,no matter how condescending they are.

Got my oats done yesterday - will have a field road I want to create, will oats that & so forth, but got the main field done.

Planning on some tile this spring, went out with the disk and just porved this morning that I really do need the tile.... Had to unhook & get the tractor out, then got a chain on the disk & got that pulled & turned around. Whew.

Wait, you're denying global warming is happening because it's too hot now?

I got my oats in yesterday too. Just in time too It looks like thunderstorms will be here within the hour. All this heat, and they'll probably be pretty harsh. Weather service says 70mph winds possible.

Just looking for some consistancy. Either it's getting hotter because of global warming,or it's getting colder. Can't have it both ways just because of the way the weather is that day.

70 mile an hour winds. WOW. Blowing about 30 here now. Even that's enough to take the hat right off your head. I think I'd have to stay inside at 70mph. If there was still an inside left to stay in after that.

Don't know if there is anything that can be sprayed on oats. We just make sure we cut them soon enough.

I put the duals on our tractor today and worked the feild once. Still a bit of a wet spot near the waterway, but we've got plenty of time. So far. Might rain tomorrow, which we need pretty bad right now. Way too soon to be this dry out there. The feild I plowed last weekend is really nice, and for the most part I could almost plant behind the plow if I wanted to. But that's gonna be corn so we need to wait atleast a month, preferably 1 1/2 to make sure it's gonna be warm enough (might not be a problem this year) to germinate fast, instead of taking 2 weeks to come up like last year.

Got me RR - Finished disking the oat ground today. Will be planting next week. Soon's we get the sheep sheared! Was pushing the tractor a bit today, and it was running hot!
