My wife teaches little kids violin. The idea is that if they can learn to speak at the age of one or two they should also be able to play an instrument. You can see in that little girl the violin has become a "mother tongue" to her, playing it is the same as talking and doesn't require any particular focus.

I aspired to play the fiddle when I was a kid, but was hampered by my left index finger missing to the second joint. I got so I could "wing it" some, but it would have been better with all my digits.

That missing finger also kept me out of flight school in the Marine Corps. I got it caught in the gears of a pump jack on the farm when I was 16 months old.

Any body like fiddling around ?
