If you have to undo the bolt each time then it will be kind of pain. If you have to undo the bolt I would make the square hole a little bigger so that you can drop it on square and then when you pull up it will angle a little bit more than it does now, but should still grab the pole just fine.

No sir, it slides over the top of the post and locks on the raised part of the post.

ooks like it works, to me!

I for got to say that you have to turn the puller just a little and it will slide over the T-post and locks on the knobs as you pull it up
with the bucket.
JR.FRYE SORRY ABOUT THAT

We used a Ford tractor with a bucket to pull wooden fence posts. Coiled a log chain around the posts and snached them out. Had a fence post digger on the same tractor and used it to punch the holes. One of our co-workers had horses and he needed the fence moved to another area. About 5 or 6 of us helped him I think we all took a day of leave. His wife had a big dinner for everyone. Hal
PS: He was a project engineer and everyone liked working with him.

That idea has been in farm magazines a number of times, but without the bolted piece. Actually, just cutting a square hole in an iron plate would work the same. Advantage of the closed opening is that you can use it by yourself, and it will stay on the post. An open end will occasionally slip off.

looks good but i just wrap a chain around post twice and hook it to loader...voila!

Looks good to me. I bought one like this

a few years ago "just in case" and haven't been able to find it when I need it. That being said, the only thing I'd change on yours is ad an idiot string tied toan orange 5 gallon bucket

Looks like it works pretty good.

Really like the old tractor.

I use the same tool as [b:654c4848f0]BCnT[/b:654c4848f0].

just finished the same task with chain and the boom pole...I think the steel plate would have been much better than my chanin wrapping!

I was woundering how long it would take for some one to figure that out, Thats why I bolt"d that other piece on:

DAVE:
I think you have the same problem I have CRC.
But I thought I would tie it to my key chain so I know Where it is at,YA think that would work:

That will work, I made this one for the boom for my Danuser post hole digger just pull the rope tied to the silver ring and the post will drop out the bottom. I tried several places looking for the Speeco model like the one I made no one had them some never even heard of it so I whipped this up in a day. Mine is also alot heavier, not that it needs to be I always over build everything I guess i'll have to work on that problem or maybe not.

Sure beats me pulling some out by hand last summer and messing up both rotator cuffs.
