Look me up, Beatles65, and you can search through my posts and find the pictures that I have posted of my tractors and cars
My Cars are;
1928 Dodge Victory 6
1958 Ford Custum 300
1965 Ford F250

Yes you can, keep buying tractors and sooner or later maintainance will over whelm you and it no longer is fun.
My advice to those of you starting in this hobby build your self a nice machine shed and keep your restored or running tractors and machinery in there. Park them so they are easy to get at and get out for a spin. Do NOT fill that shed up with junk or unfinished or future projects.

no the only way you can have too many tractors is if you dont have enough impliments to put on them, in which case you then must buy more impliments, if you already have too many impliments then you dont have enough tractors, and need to buy more

How do you keep yourself from trying to save every piece of old iron you see???

I'm joking around but it is hard to not try to save it all.

To many tractors?? No way but having enough gas and battery's for them all that is another story. I switch battery's all the time just to be able to use a tractor which is sad but when you have to many that is how it is

Here is the 1928 dodge victory six and the 1958 ford in the background. enjoy!!!!!!!

No...gotta have a backup, and a backup and a backup for that one.
Got no wife...no dog...just barn cats and tractors.
Oh and I have a lady friend that likes old iron too. Has her own Super MTA. And before you even ask...it's not pink.

I looked it up and saw some really nice pics I like them all when I was young I remember my parents having a 58 ford car the same color beleive it or not!

Its great to get all these nice replys And besides one little cub with cultivators wont take up a whole lot of space., and I really do need it . Im convinced !!

After a while, just taking care of them, oil changes, etc. gets to be a chore. That's when you need to get just one more to restore. That gives you a real BIG project to work on and the small stuff isn't such a chore anymore. If you can follow this line of thinking you have old iron fever just as bad as I do.

Yes, it certainly is possible to have too many tractors, but I don't believe "3" would be the number.

The guys below hit on it- when you have enough such that the maintenance and repairs gets to be a chore, you're done collecting. But that just opens the whole new realm of selling off some to make room for others that you want more.

3 diesel tractors would be my limit. I get tired of doing maintenance but I would love to get through haying season with only having to switch the rake and tedder.

I say no but the wife says yes. I am hope'n as time goes by and I keep getting her to help me swap implements in the spring she will see it my way and think we need one for every tool so she won't have to keep help'n me swap. A boy can hope I geuss.

We have around 80 Tractors And Combines , Been thinking Some Need to Leave !Some are headed to the Scrap Yard Real Soon ,Do the High Scrap Prices .

You have enough tractors when someone asks you
how many you have and you do not know how many
you have.

Well I figure if I can get a old tractor. For everyone in my family. (Wife and 3 kids)Then that might be a stopping point for now. They take up alot of time. Not that I don't like them. It's just hard to keep up on them. With all the other things to do .Work the farm and all the repairs that go with it.Like to get 2 small JD tractors.Maybe a pair of LA's for my young daughters. Just keep having fun with the old iron and save what you can from the scrap monster.BlaineF (WA)

Need one for every implement so you don't waste time hitching em up. got a ways to go though. Still need about ten more. And no you can't have too many. Just my opinion, not mama's

Too many tractors is never a problem.

Not enough tractor shed storage space is always a problem.

Here's how it goes:

[b:654c4848f0]James:[/b:654c4848f0] Do you want to go look at a 49 MT?

[b:654c4848f0]Nancy:[/b:654c4848f0] Where are we going to put it?

[b:654c4848f0]James:[/b:654c4848f0] I don't know.

[b:654c4848f0]Nancy:[/b:654c4848f0] We'll find somewhere to put it.

Actually, having many tractors helps in the tire department. If you're halfway careful when you buy, and don't get any with less than 50% tread, chances are by spreading the work among many tractors, you'll never have to replace any tires (that's especially true for guys like us of (ahem) "mature" age. Well, OK, geezers.

But if you just have one tractor to do everything, you'll soon be looking at a grand to replace the wornout tires. "Gee, honey, the tires on that rig are looking a little peaked. I better get another tractor so I can save what tread is left."

The lesson here, of course, is that with a little creativity, you can justify most anything.

your joking right????? you can never have too many. I would say over 15 might be a little too much but anything lower than that is right on!!

When younger, one tractor ran the haybine, uncoupled it and it ran the baler, later it hauled the wagons to the elevator; It picked the corn & then hauled the corn wagons. Spent much time hitching & unhitching. Now i'm older and have one for the square baler, one on the round baler, one for the discbine, one for the haybine, one with the tedder, one for the rake, one with a loader, and one to take the grandchildren for a spin. Besides, I'd rather count tractors than sheep.

Agree with Ill John. If you know how many tractors you have, you don't have many-or enough. Kinda like wealth-If you know what you're worth, you're not worth much.

My dad and I have 30 or so tractors and yes you can have too many. He is now too old to work or drive any and I have too many family obligations to restore any. I have several wasting away outside and my 40 x 64 shed is so full i work on the lawn when I do. I have been restoring the same one for at least 5 years. I don't have the time or money to do a proper restore any more. So, yes your hobby can consume you.

Yes I have to many around 60 Olivers more than I can keep track of, it's to hard to maintain so many with batteries, oil, filters etc. You go to drive one for the first time in a while and it has a flat tire. It never ends

no thats not too many ., sounds just right and all of the beutiful pics and videos you have posted proves that. I will take this oportunity to thank you and your husband for all the nice posts that you have sent.
