Anyone know what brand this blower is? Works good in hard snow, but doesnt blow worth a darn. I think if it had two more paddles it might help.

It's a Lundell built at Cherokee, Iowa. I don't know if they are still in operation or not. I used to have one a long time ago. I'm sure technology has advanced since then. I have none now.

after thought: Are you sure that you aren't running a blower designed to run at 1,000 rpm at only 540 rpm?

Dad got it at an auction a few years back and it has a heavy driveline with the 540 yoke, so thats what we have run it at. It gets to boucing a bit at pto speed, so if we ran it at a 1000 i think it might self destruct. We have a two stage blower we use for clearing roads, this one is built heavy so we use it to clean fencelines along the feedlots in the winter time.It cuts into hard snow real well and doesnt pull very hard. There are no tags on it so i was curious as to what brand it was. I have heard of LUndell before, thats probably what it is. I am guessing its from the mid to early 70s model.

That look like a single stage snow thrower. The single stage ones I have seen have run at 1000 RPM. They really need to fly to get the snow moving, That is the problem with single stage throwers as compared to 2 stage blowers.
I hope this is of help.
