Some NH3 going on. Heard yesterday from a very reliable source that 80 acres had been planted at Assumption IL just before the rain. I had 25 deg night before last.

The regional radio farm show had a call in yesterday here in southern/ central MN, anyone in the field should call in during the 1/2 hour.

They got more calls then they expected - a lot from central MN were combining corn.

They said they do fall harvest reports, this is the first year they were getting spring harvest reports.

Not many years ago I would have thought they were crazy. Today the seed can endure much more stress. If they have many acres to cover it probably doesn't seem early at all to them.

A little NH3 was applied in our area (Litchfield, IL) on Monday and Tuesday. Haven't heard of any corn in the ground yet. If we miss the rain tonight and tomorrow I bet there will be some planted by this time next week.

DuPage co. Il the soil feels about 32 degrees to the touch on the surface. Better than going to Vegas for a gamble?

Not much happening here in NW Indiana. A few miles south of here they are putting on NH3, spreading lime and doing a little tillage. Tried doing a little chisel plowing the other day, still need a few more days. Spending the weekend cutting back fencerows and maybe by this time next week we can be rolling...

Saw some corn being planted, both conventional and no till, Friday in central SC.

Mid Michigan, seeing some tractors out of the barns, most hooked to disks. Got out and disked a field myself today. No problems. Cut up the sod nicely, made three passes. Ready for next step.
