dave, is that what the links do? it came to me with krusers email address, , i didnt open the links, just sent it to the recycle bin. would that have gotten into krusers computer? glenn

I'm not sure, but I believe that's how they get addresses to send the help a friend scam out. Some of these punks are genious' and just don't know it or put it to honest use. Best practice is to never open an email unless you know who it is coming from... Also, it's not a bad idea to use something like yahoo as an email account. They always have the latest virus detection in place.

You shouldn't click on a link in an E-mail because what the link claims to be an where it actually takes you could be two different things.

Hello glennster,
Set your e-mail filter so that ALL the e-mailyou get is considered junk.
The ones that are not, add them to your address book, flush the rest. As dave2 said never open then, they can do no harm unless you do.

If you want to check a strange email out open it in Print Preview. If it doesn"t look right close and delete.
