Hey Dave, Second pic .was that your tractor?? Thought maybe you forgot to grease the muffler bearings and check the fluid in the blinkers.If that's your tractor-------- Time to trade. LOL

Looks like a homemade tractor. When the border was in place, the East German folks didn't have much and there was a home-made version of just about anything on the market.

Looks like the trailer has independent suspension on it by the camber on the wheel. Makes it more "hi-tech" then the tractor.

There wasn't much done to any tractor years ago. The photo of the N series Ford was showing one used to advertise tires and belonged to a Salina, KS Goodyear dealer.
