94 cutlass missing

MY 94 cutlass supreme with the 3.1 v6 has started missing and when its warm and you go to start it, it acts like its flooded. Plugs and wires are good. Engine has a lot of miles but it start doing this all at once. I have been driving it down some rough gravel roads, don't know if that has anything to do with it. I remember some people talking on here about the coil packs, didn't know if this should be a place to start or possibly an injector? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a coil pack. Had one coil on an 89 buick with the 3800 engine go bad. Drove it over a hundred miles home. Time I found out it was a coil in the pack, it had arced enough to damage the module it was mounted on. Pricy fix but ran like a scared cat once I got it fixed.
Another thought is just for the fun of it, make sure the plug in connector to the module is clean and tight, rough road may have loosened it some.

I have had the crank shaft sensor go bad on a couple different GM vehicles and it can cause some strange intermittent problems. A bad mass air flow sensor can cause strange problems too, but I would almost bet on the crankshaft sensor.

My experience has been to either spend money and time replacing things until I find the problem, or just spend the money to take it to a good shop and have them hook it up to the computer and pin point the problem. I then take it home and fix it myself.

Here in Lansing Mich. area Auto Zone will use thier computer reader to help you find out what is wrong. They do not CHARGE to do this. Maybe they hope you will buy the bat unit from them.

Axlhandle has it.

Too much fuel is being dumped into the old gal through the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.Pull off the hose(next to oil filler cap)and see if fuel is there.Should be none.

The upper intake plenum and the fuel rails need to be removed to repl the regulator.A new one comes with all the seals you need ,but have to buy the upper plenum gasket set separately.

2 of them, 94 & 96, with the 3.1 engine but when the head gaskets went no water in oil but exaust gas in radiator.
