I planted swiss chard for the first time last season It did good , it looks like it is growing this spring will it return? I dont know muck about swiss chard, thought someone on here might.

Chard is a bienniel- unlike spinach, it won't "bolt" (go to seed) the first year- but will grow back the second year and immediately go to seed. So might as well till it up and plant new seeds.

If you like "greens", chard is superior in every way to spinach- superior flavor and texture, won't bolt the first year, very vigorous, etc. Been eating it for 60 years, and every once in awhile, I try some spinach to see what I am missing out on- and then I remember. . . so its back to chard.
