Someone had mentioned using ARP head studs in a farmall M. LONG SHOT but could anyone tell me where to find such a thing?

Actually you should not use ARP studs in your M. The studs are too hard and will not sufficiently tighten before you start to compromise the threads in the block. You should use a conventional stud, but that is just my opinion. Dave

opinion duly noted...thats why i posted the question was to get everyone's thoughts. im just looking for ideas now...buy parts later. Thanks

Almost all head studs or bolt are grade 8 material so changing them should not matter. The advantage to moving from head bolts to stud on a High compression performance engine is normally the stud fit the holes in the heads better. This limits how much the head "Walks" on the block. I never turn a wrench on a M Farmall. If it had stud from the factory replacement with ARP Head stub should not be a problem. Years ago I Turbo-Charged a Slant 6 Chrysler. I had B&B Performance built me a special set of head stud for it. This was before ARP was in business.
