compact tractors

Went to local tractor dealer this weekend for some parts. Noticed they had some small compact tractors on lot. Looked at "em. Short wheelbase, sloped hoods, FWA. Sorta reminded me of an overgrown MTD mower or a matchbox toy. Anyone else notice this?

What brand were they?

All the manufaturers have their version, most from Japan.

Some mid-value models come from Korea or India.

There's a whole host of re-branded models look kida rough & unfinished from China. These aren't really up to snuff - cheap, but kinda too cheap to be a value....

Yep, kind of like an overgrown mower, or a matchbox toy. But will do whatever a part-timer needs to do. I've had old, and I've had new. Old is good for parades and shows, and spittin' and whittlin'. Rather have new if I actually want to do some work.

Yea - sales of those things to the hobbiest with 10 acres and maybe a horse has kept a lot of dealers in business over the past 10 years. Big bucks in the little fellas.

I bet those days are over too tho with this ecconomy....

Just talked to the Kubota dealer yesterday (standing in the line at a sub sandwich place- I love small towns)- He said business is pretty good- could always be better, but "I can't complain."

Even with 10% unemployment, probably 60 or 70% of folks still feel pretty secure in their employment.

Probably looked something like this one ?
