is the tractor paint at tractor supply co. worth using or should i get a better quality of paint.

I suppose that depends. I've used some on various things. I painted 2 of my farm trucks and used hardener both times.. one turned out awesome and held color good, the other truck never really had a shine to it after painting (But was way better than the rust)

I've also painted some discs, plows, and the like, but just as a maintenance kind of thing, and to me it was good for the price.

If you're going "for show" I'd look for something better.

You get what you pay for. The stuff they sell is about 60 year old technology. It is cheap and pretty easy to spray. The only problem is that it will fade quickly (if left in the sun) and has virtually no chemical resistane. I would step up to at least a modified acrylic enamel.

I can atest that TSC paint in my case turned from JD Green to an awful looking blue/green mess. Will not buy any more TSC paint. Tom

I painted my truck with the Ford blue six years ago. Still sticking to it. Neighbor painted his with TSC Hesston red. That one still looks good too.
