Any in the nostrial or running out her nose? Could be a slight respiratory infection, or irration.

Get some pink eye spray,it has a purple dye in it.Wrong time of year to blame flies but she has an eye infection.

I have seen her sneeze a few times, I have only had her for 5 days now and she is my first cow so i dont know to awfull much about them, just what ive been reading. i did nt know eye discharges were related to colds. Im going to have the local cow expert have a look at her tommarow. Thanks for the help guys.

Draw about 10 cc"s of penicillion then take the needle off the syringe and squirt the penicillion directly into her eye. Dose her once a day for 2-3 days.

YOU JUST GOT HER ????.. forgive Me , if i overstate for Fear that you know as much about cows as I did a while back , but no one needs to loose 13 head in 4 yrs , as I did ( LONG STORY only if intererested ) ... anyway YOUR COW . If she traveled at all 5 miles in sub freezing weather, and she is sneezing occassionally , she has a COLD! ... along with penicellan , about 25 ccs.. Give Her some LA 200 about 25 ccs. ... And dont wait for her to MAYBE get better. even if it is sunny and 50 degrees .. when Cows are SICK ! they stand and walk around fine ... but then if they ever lay down , they may not ever get up again ... This time of Year always was the hardest time for livestock.. GOOD LUCK ..

May be nothing more than a bit of hay caught under an eyelid... I'd look for more symtoms before I gave her any antibiotics - I hate to have to dump milk (or wait before they can be shipped/butchered)

Looks like she has conjunctivitis. Give her a shot of penicillin. I have seen it in goats alot. Don't get it on you because it is contagious.

Here's a good start.........

If you're gonna have animals, better learn as much as you can about them. Jeffers.com is a reasonable source for meds and about anything elsy you'll need. A bottle of penicillin G is a good thing to keep around.

we keep tetanus, Pennicillin, bluespray, betadine, aspirin powder, and Tar (for drawing) on hand all the time. If you have to call a vet for every runny nose, animals will lose there luster real quick. You can't do everything, but read enough to know your limits.

Good Luck,

Dave
