Hey folks,
Here's the new boss of the place (til the others come along). He's got a pedigree name but I call him Mac. 20 minutes to 30 hours old in the pics. He already backs up and will get a halter and lead tomorrow. Less stress when they are born on the pasture, but more fun and they learn more when born in the stall.

Congratulations and nice looking baby!

Just make sure her Mom doesn't injure you - that one picture of the bite hurt and prolly ruined your career for other things.

Thanks for the pictures Dave, glad you had no problems. What breed are they? I know it aint a thoroughbred, to be cooperating, and behaving like that. LOL !!! ;) Little guy looks reddy to tackle the weather with his "slightly" fuzzy coat. Good luck to you. J

Quarter Horse. Mom's OK until she can't see him, then she gets a little antsy. Our horses are pretty laid back.
