Clutch time

With all the snow this winter I spent a lot of time slipping the clutch on my IH826 gear drive blowing snow.Hard on the clutch and hard on my leg. I'm thinking of trsding the 826 on a Hydrostatic drive tractor.I know IH made Hydros in the 66 and 86 models, but they're few and far between around here. Does any other manufacturer
make Hydros in the 80 to 100 HP range?

Have you ever thought about a 50 series John Deere 2950, 4050 they have a 15 speed power shift tranny, shift on the go ..ever so suttle change from gear to gear.Good luck!

Check out that hand clutch addition up the page a bit- it also helps in that situation, using your arm and leg to ride the clutch. Unloaded silage on the pile that way in the fall of 2000, seven months after the ankle break.

You can add a hydraulic assist to the clutch linkage. As long as the engine is running it will greatly reduce pedal effort.
