Saw a 5 point white tail buck walk across my front yard yesterday. Have any of you folks seen one this time of year? For those of you that count differently, that 5 points on each side.

We"d call that a 10 point, but whatever! Saw a buck a week or so ago with antlers left over form last fall. - a 6 point (3 on each side).
Was suprised to see tham this late in the season. Would have expected them to shed by now.

I found three sheds this weekend. Also saw 25 deer run across the field , and no antlers. The MO whitetail antlers are on the ground and it's a great time to find them. The biggest one I found Sat. had 5 points.

I think in MN they have lost their antlers by now, that's one of the things on my bucket list is to find some shed antlers, but the snow is kinda deep yet, by the way, in MN we count both sides, 5x5=10!

Hereabouts we'd call that a 5X5. Whatever.

In January, during a doe only season, a buddy of mine shot what he thought was a big doe only to find it was a buck that had already shed his antlers. It's usually late February or March around here.

My buddy didn't get into trouble for shooting a buck in a doe only season, though. The Game Commission officer who checked it in agreed there was no way for him to know it was a buck.

I might have skinned it out myself and not bothered to check it in.

deer like women,, have a pair of racks.. thats a 10 pointer.. a woman with only one can never be a 10 pointer..

Second week of March last year we had a 10 pointer fighting thru the fence with one ours. Haven't seen any this year yet and our tame ones hold their racks til the end of March or early April, quite a bit longer than the local wild ones.

Saw two bucks this evening with both antlers !! Already found 11 sheds so far this year 2 this evening .
