Please help on my case 1070 I am trying to get two gauges to work. The Engine temp and the Trans temp. They both have power to them is my meter shows if I ground the other side the gage moves. All wires to senders are good so what is wrong? How do you test the sending units and the gages? Thanks matt

Often, if you take the wire off the sender, and ground the wire, with the key on...if it pegs the needle, the sender is bad.

Some of the newer gauges need a seperate ground. But yes if you remove the wire from the sensor then ground it the guage should move. If this is the case the sensor is most likely bad.
