Need to know the approximate weight of a solid block of concrete that is 2ft x2ft x 4ft long and also one that is 2ft x4ft x 6 feet long

A yard of concrete weighs about 3800 lbs. 27 cubic feet per yard. There are alot of factors that affect final weigh, ie. size of aggregate.

Rough estimate is 150 lbs per cubic foot.
Your first block will weigh roughly 2400 lbs
The bigger block will weigh roughly 7200 lbs
Notice I use the word roughly
Concrete can weigh anywhere from 2000 lbs per cubic yard to 3500 lbs per cubic yard

I was at a brick plant in Mexico one time where they were making bricks out of a stone that looked like pumice.

Some of the "rocks" were so light they would float...

I wish I could have brought enough to build a house back with me - I wondered if it would have been a pretty good insulator, too...

Called YTONG here. Insulates good, good sound barrier, light and cuts with a handsaw. Not as cheap as concrete or clay, but makes up for it with labor and strain saved.
