Realized just today!

In the barn; was walking past the JD corn planters, & realized its just about 5, or 6 more weeks before opening the 1st bag of seed corn. It was a good feeling; but still slapped me in the face a bit! Most of the snow gone with only the shoveled snow remaining.

Don't remind me. I've got a good routine going and last growing season was just WAY too long. I'm in no hurry to get back out there.

Gotta get those oats in as soon"s I can get on the land. Right now, there"s still half a foot of snow on the field. But I"ll be out there as soon"s the water drains outta the low spot.

Gonna haul my last wagon load of beans tomorrow morning while it's still frozen. By the weatherman we're going to have thawed muddy ground by the weekend. Not my favorite season!!
