I picked up a 40 HP Wisconsin LPG motor and was hoping someone on this board could tell me everything I have to do to convert to gas.

It only has a LPG carb on it now or was converted and still has gasoline carb on it too ? May need a gasoline carb, gas tank, and gas manifold if those were changed. Check for a parts catalog for it at Wisconsin Motors under engines and for carbs & other accessories there are more downloads under the accessory section.

May need to change the distibtor advance springs as most lpg engines have a differant curve. May not be a problem. DH

Thanks guys, this was factory LPG, wasn't sure if I could use the same carb or not, thanks for the info

Some factory engines had special high-compression heads which are not in the on-line catalogs. This might be a problem if you are below 4000 ft. altitude with gasoline.
There is no difference in the distributor or manifolds.
If you have the high-compression heads, they are worth something, because they are no longer available.

Leave it on LP. You will NOT have to worry about fuel going bad in the carb plugging tha carb up.
