Just wondering what was your best/worst vehicle or tractor?
My worst vehicle was a '70 something Ford Falcon wagon. Worst tractor, Cub 154. Best tractor. JD 2240.

Worst - anything that looks like it will be easy to get running, only to find out it will take a lot of time and money to get it running

Best - anything that stays running after I spent countless eons getting it to that point.

Worst tractor was a tie with an 885 and 1410 Case David Brown. The best, probably a 7600 Ford. Vehicles, worst was a 1965 Mustang, best was a 1977 Honda Civic.

Well lets see here I have had three pick ups that really tryed my patience's First was a 1970 ford 3/4 tone two wheel drive plane jane as it was stuck on level ground in mid summer on a flat grassy field the second was a 1978 Ford F250 4x4 snow patrol as the night i bought it it never made it home from the dealership and had to be towed back and spent seven months out of the first twelve being worked on . The next was my 88 Ford F350 4X4 , bought it used with PROBLEMS just knowing i could fix it , yea wright . was getting parts for it one day and at the Ford dealer and i was expressing my displeasure over the fgact that the part that i just installed failed only after three week and the parts i had on order were on back order and should have been upgraded to a critical unit down order and were not when the service manager came in and asked me what the problem was , WRONG THING TO DO WITH ME as i plum unloaded on him and plum backed him into a corner and was about a hick up away from flat out layen him out on the floor when he asked where this truck was at . Asked him why and he said that there maybe some recalls on it and he would check , well he did check and yep there were and Ford said that they would do all and repaint the truck for free . Well they did o the recalls and Ford put now get this 14942 dollars into a truck that i paid 7000 for . Still have the WRO's on it . But that still did not fix it and spent the next year chasen stuff on it . By the time the truck had a 120000 miles on it we got all the bugs worked out and it served me well to 289000 miles when i sold it to a farmer out around Bucyerus Oh. As for tractors . That has to be a Farmall 460 gasser with S/N 571 the 70th 460 built plum hated that tractor and i believe it hated me too . There were two days that i was glad that i had that tractor . The day i bought it and the day i sold it . Still in the area and that is one tractor that i would NOT BUY BACK .

Best, 72 Chevy Blazer 285,000 rough miles....still have it in the shed waiting for me to restore it...
Worst, but one of the funnest Chopped 73 Harley Superglide....patched the locked up transmission by removing the broken 2nd gear and replacing it with bailing wire wound around the mainshaft on a railroad tie in the parking lot of a gas station in the middle of the South Dakota Badlands one hot miserable afternoon...

Best vehicle -- 78 ford LTD III
Worst vehicle -- 85 ford F-250

Best tractor -- 72 John Deere 2520
Worst tractor -- 64 ford 4000

Best tractor: 826 IH it has over 15000 hours and still used nearly every day

Worst tractor: 825 Belarus just one big mistake

Best truck: 94 F150 Ford, it had 280,000 on it when my son totaled it.

Worst truck: 2005 Dodge, it must have been made on Monday morning

Best tractor: Case 4894

Worst tractor: JD 8450 (this probably had more to do with the previous owner than JD)

Best tractor is a '71 MF150, worst was an IH574. Best truck/car was is an '04 Dodge 2500, worst an '88 Chevy 1/2ton

My worst vehicle was a 1998 Dodge Intrepid. In addition to having to remove the battery through the inner fender, it was simply one repair after another.

My worst tractor was JD 2010. Paid a lot for it and paid a lot more to keep in running.

Of all the cars and pickups I have had, none of them were outstandingly bad. Well, maybe one. I did have a '65 Ford Galaxie with that wonderful 352 engine. When it was about 5 years old, it threw a rod out the block, knocking the starter off the engine. Yeah, a BIG hole! I was cruising along about about 40 mph, in town, when it let go. The worse tractor, by far, was a 1949 Minneapolis-Moline Z that I had many years ago. I cannot say anything good about that pile of junk!

the worst tractor I ever drove was an old ac wd only because I was young and it had that hand clutch and hand brakes , and far away clutch pedal It ran very good. Maybe it was just me because I was so young, does anyone else remeber them that way?

worst vehicles owned 77 chevy 3/4 ton pickup bought new. ONLY HAD AROUND 40,000 MILES AND IT WAS A JOKE. 4.5 miles to gallon, 4wd went out in front axle tranny went out it was just plain lemon. Went to dodge in late 79 and have had them ever since and still driving that brand today been getting to 180 to 190,000 on them before any major issues. Since we also run rural mail route found that chevy just don't do well for that also. still have a blazer tried it started have issues in tha 30,000 range also, two trannys two transfer cases, and that darn gas tank foam breather filter is not for rurual roads. anybody want a 2003 chevy blazer, finally got little over 100,000 on the money pit. been running dodge stuff on route and same result close to 200,000 or better before any major issues. Just been what took place here anyway. tractor side was 1086 I bought new was worst unit you could ever have. Best tractors have been 4440 and 4450 deeres and 1650 oliver. the new steiger couger tractor I had was also very good unit in its day.

best car was a 95 suzuki sidekick, 296000 and still runs good. had a radiator cracked. blew head gasket cousin fixed it, it had factory sleeves in it with very little wear at 241000 miles. have not used much lately as I have been out of work. i found a temporary job, start tuesday but will have to drive 77 miles one way, but good money.

Worst was an '87 S-10. Less than a year old when driving down the road at 60mph it would just quit; dealer said there was nothing wrong with it...

Best would be the Farmall H, very little ever goes wrong, and when it does a handful of wrenches and an unskilled mechanic (me) can usually fix it pretty quickly.

Worst piece of junk ever built. Dodge Omni, what a money pit.
Best tractor. Farmal M. Best pickup. Ford F150

Regarding the JD 2010, I saw a very nice looking one sell at an auction a couple of years ago. I was a little surprised the seller let it go for only $2k; but when the buyer tried to drive it home he didn't even make it out of the driveway...

Had a WD on the farm when I was young . It had a old loader on it and it was alot better that a pitchfork but that was about it . It s all we had at the time so it was a great tractor .

Can't really say I've ever had a bad vehicle. The best one was probably a 98 Ford Ranger 4cyl/5 speed. Bought it new, ex wife took it when it had 185K on it. I changed the timing belt twice, along with regular oil and filter changes. Changed all the other fluids a couple times. Ft brakes and ball joints once.

Worst truck I ever owned is my 1969 Dodge W200 Power Wagon (still have it as a farm truck). Doors fell off it when it was only 8 years old. I've replaced the transfer case twice, fixed the front axle many times and even replaced half the frame twice. Literally cut the truck in half and welded in a new rear frame. Also had to make countless new driveshafts for it. It has the separate transmission and transfercase with a dinky little driveshaft inbetween that has always been a problem. This has to be the worst engineered truck I've ever owned. Also has a top speed of around 60 MPH with the 4.88 axles.

2nd worse was the International Scout II I drove as a John Deere sevice truck. Built like a tractor but also handled like a tractor. And, the sheet metal was the absolute worse I've ever seen on a road vehicle.

Longest lived truck I ever owned is my 87 3/4 ton, 4WD diesel Suburban. Made it to 520,000 miles before the engine blew to pieces. My son now owns it (with a second engine) and drives it in Colorado.

Never had a bad tractor (as far as design goes).
But I've had a few Deere 1010s that looked like they were made from left-over parts - and maybe they were. I think the early 2010 Deere ag. tractors were absolute blunders, but I've never been fool enough to buy one.

Worst pickups, every Chevy I've ever owned. Best,85 Ford 3/4 ton diesel.
Worst tractors,3 way tie,IH 706 diesel,Deere 730 diesel,Deere 3010 diesel.
Best tractor(s),I've had 2 Oliver 77s,still have one that I use on the silage cart 7 days a week. Also an Oliver 1850 that's just plain bulletproof.

Worst car: 86 Chev Cavlaier. Best car tie between Ford Focus and 69 Pontiac Gto. Worst tractor IH 414 diesel. Best tractor 5000 ford and D17 AC.
Worst truck 71 Datsun-electrics were a constant nightmare. Best truck 70 ford F100- beat the bejabbers out of it and the body fell off it at 435000 miles.

I learned to drive tractor on a Ford 960 dad brought home. That 'different' 5-speed shifter has always seemed normal to me. :) Heck of a little working tractor on the place, compared to the rest of dad's fleet at the time - 3pt, tight turning, Shwartz wide front. Lot of power in a small package.

Still have it.

Just kinda needs to be on my 'best' list.

Worst Vehicle - 83 Chevy 6.2 liter gutless diesel
Best Vehicle - Every Ford Diesel I've owned

Worst Tractor - IH 3588 2+2 - 2 days in the shop for every 2 days in the field - huge mistake
Best Tractor - Every Case I've owned

I've got two kids in CO. Westminster and Longmont, both in the general Denver area.

When my son took the Suburban back with him, he quickly found out it was pretty useless at those 5000' plus high elevations without a turbo. Once he put a Banks turbo on it, he passed the Colorado smoke test and it runs fine.

worst truck, 89 f350 4x4, it blew up 3 transfer cases in 2 years, 7 mpg, best, my 83 c-30 chevy flatbed with dump, ive still got it, runs great and its been overworked every day of its life, worst tractor 75? ih 284, if it left the tractor shed, it most likley needed a chain and another tractor to make it back from where it quit, best, my 53 ford jubilee, ive used it over 25 years and it still is reliable [ rebuilt as nessessary ] also my john deere 301A has never failed me yet
the best ive known of was grandpa's farmall M, bought new in 1940, it was still on the job when he retired in 1972, my uncle sold it when he took over the farm as he was a allis man, his d17 is still going great [ dont know what year that one is]although my uncle now 85 has retired

Worst vehicle was my 1951 Chevy 2 door. Got it for the cost of a duplicate title-$2.00! BUT, it was in a pasture, on its floor boards, and full of mice. Needless to say, it was a project car-and the project part of it was fun. BUT, never could get it to work for more than a day-fuel tank was not clean enough, engine was too tight for the 6 volt starter, when hot the engine did not want to start, etc! Had $1200.00 in it-not too bad for about 1980, but HAD to sell when moving, and only got $400.00 for it. Always joked that I should turn it in as a lemon LOL! Greg

Best Tractor, Farmall 460. Talk about the energizer bunny. Worst, John Deere 60. Always needs something fixed.

Hah,best vehicle-89 F350 Ford,still have it,(21 yrs) no major repairs.Worst vehicle,74 Mustang,what a piece of junk.Only had two tractors,Ford 600 and Oliver 1550,Ollie was the best I guess,little too big for my needs though.

Best car 91 caddy with 350 chev engine. Still driving 200 K miles. Worst car 65 mercedes diesel. Cost too darn much to keep on the road. Best tractor red one. Worst tractor 2n ford that was doctored up. Started smoking like a chimney after 4-5 hours. Engine so loose, took pistons out through the carburetor. All engines are fun, no comparison.
