I purchesed a couple used tires at a swapmeet. They are Good Years load range G. On the tire it say install only on radial rims only cabable of with standing 110 lbs. I have been putting radial tires on my 80 f350 for years. Is this rim considered a radial rim? The tire also says it is regroovable. What is this mean? Thanks stan

Basically radial rims are those that are not split rims. There were also some width issues but should not apply to your situation as long as the width is the same as your previous tires.

Regrooveable means just that. The grooves can be cut deeper as the tire wears and for retreading.

Any car/truck made after the mid 60 should have a radial type rim on them since the radial tire came out around that time and I know for a fact your truck unless it has older rims will have a radial rim. I.E. when new you truck had radial tire on it so rims are matched to them

alot of that rim specs has to do with valve stem size and type...the older rims used a pretty big diameter stem...newer ones have smaller size...supposedly the larger size pop out at higher pressures...i always use the threaded brass stems in my truck rims anyhow.

truck rims are made for e rated tires the rim you need is for g rated it could split. read the ratings for your tire. Man get the right rim , Please
