John Deere Fire Extinguisher

Does anybody know anything about fire extinguishers they would have used in John Deere plant in Moline, i just bought a one i dont have a picture of it yet and i havent even seen it personally but it has two big wagon wheels on the side, it almost looks like a cannon from the picture i had never even seen one like it before im not sure if its something deere made or what it is, ill try to get a picture for you guys but if you have any info on it please let me know
Thanks

i have one of those. was used in the hayes factory in galva, IL. it was made by the peter pirsch company. looks like a big cylinder tank between two wooden wagon wheels. the later models had steel wheels. they were of a soda acid type extinguisher where you would pull the tank full of water to the fire in the factory and lay it down so the water would mix with the soda acid in a reservoir in the top of the tank to creat pressure and expell the water onto the fire. no need for a pump. it created its own pressure by chemical reaction.

Really thats very interesting, im not lookin to sell this but any idea what one of these are worth i dont think i paid too much but just curious and how hard is it to find parts for im not sure if this is missing anything i was just curious,
Thanks for all the info

John Deere did make fire extinguishers on a trailer to be pulled by a truck for the military during WWII. I think a fellow Michigan collector, Ted DeDoes showed one at an Expo back in the late 90's. There was a picture of it in Two-Cylnder. Ted was a good guy, I bought a set of cultivators from him once.
