i have to change my clutch on my 3010 diesel and would like to know where i can order one,e-bay had one but its not listed anymore, thanks mike

I looked at auctions etc for years. Finally gave up and built a set.

One advantage of building your own is you can make them much more adaptable than anything OTC sells.

In answer to your direct question OTC sells em. I think there are a few places that cater to the old tractor hobby that may have something also but names escape me at the moment.

Search the archives of this site. There has been many pictures posted of homemade splitting stands. Easy to make out of whatever scrap iron you have laying around. If you can find a set of Deere/OTC stands they are going to cost you half the value of your 3020.

Another idea would be to build one if you have the time and resources. A tool set, torch, welder, and access to an iron or junk pile and you could make a safe, functional, ad universal stand.

Or, if you have some jackstands...set one up under the aft end of the engine and roll the tractor back on a floor jack and prop it up while your performing the maintenance.

A 3010 isn't a REAL large tractor to deal with.

Are you set up so you could safely suspend the engine from a chain hoist (or large "cherry picker") (with some "cribbing" under it for safety)?

If so, you can then CAREFULLY support the back end with a large floor jack (also with some blocks/cribbing under it, for safety.

I built a set from a couple pieces of 1/4 X 2 inch angle iron when I split a guys 686 Binder to replace the clutch. I put adjustable all-thread in the bottom for fine level adjustment. Ground some points on the all-thread and used some scrap aluminum to set the all-thread on. I dimpled the aluminum with a drill to set the all-thread in so it would not walk around when the all-thread was adjusted. My neufew is going to use them on a V-8 Massey he is splitting.

google Cofer Mfg in KS for ideas to copy. Also, Bulldog jacks mounted on a stand work well, especially if you put wheels under. I made steel wheels for my shop hoist using 6 inch pipe and round steel plate for the centers. Beefed up hubs were made from 2 inch shaft, drilled for 3/4 inch shaft axles. Hoist pivots 90 degrees, spans 19 feet, carries a 2 ton hoist on a homemade trolley.
