Kinda slow on here today, so I thought I'd check and see what you guys and gals are up to.

I went into work a while this morning, since things have picked up quite a bit, and getting ready to head back to clean up the woods some more. Glennster is probably at an auction somewhere, toolz is still probably sippin some Mexican drinks and who knows what all billonthefarm is doing!

Chime in as you have time.

Jim

Just got done cleaning feedlots and hauling manure. Mama's gone to get her hair done for the Firemens Ball tonight. Can't say I'm thrilled at the thought of going. Gettin too old for this stuff. Easier to just stay home and fall asleep in my recliner. Besides,Red Green is on Saturday nights.

Watching some of the Olympics, Trying to drag myself back out to do afternoon chores. Wind is really blowing here, so Im not likeing the idea of going back out;( But the anmials need to be taken care of. One thing I wont be doing is pitching any silage out of the silo, the way the wind blows up the silo chute, you gotta were a NASA suit, to keep silage from blowing all over you. Not to mention the stuff thats gets caught in the ladder and comeing loose on my way dowm and blowing all over me. lol Spreading manure should be fun too! J

Spent some time this morning and almost finished taking the H apart. Now I'm cooking some pumpkin in the oven to make into pies. Doing a little reading.

Went to work until noon. Finished taking a 2670 Case powershift apart. Made up a parts list. Monday will see what I can find for parts.

normal feeding and snow removal, thought i had it rough till I saw the post on the 2670 powershift, now that's ROUGH

Just spent four hours of digging in the mud--pulling my 17-year old's jeep cherokee out of a swamp here in the FL panhandle..that's not including the attempts last night 'til 1 am that weren't successful...had planned to work on my F350 brakes and front axle today..now I should be taking a nap or something easy...The old D17 came through again--after two jeeps and two pickups and a Ford 3000 couldn't pull him out, it took a 1959 Allis Chalmers to do the job....gotta love those old tractors with their brute torque...

Just finished running a box blade on the driveway. Smoothed it up nicely, so the wife won't be complaining. It's in the mid 50's here. A real nice day for being outside.

Donated a pint of blood at the local Red Cross blood drive.....
Now recuperating watching the Olympics (Curling and Ski Jumping).

Hey, Jim- Got home late Thurs. Had a good time, didn't do much except golf and relax, and of course the business stuff. I'll post a few pics when I get them loaded on the computer. Today I'm not doing a darn thing so far- just recouperating. Those plane rides with all the customs stuff will wear a guy out. Good to be home.

spent most of the day watchin t.v. then a buddy called needin help with some car repair he needed my TORKS bits to get the bolts out of the brakes on his car had a "few" now just settin here thinkin bout somethin fer supper chinnese or pizza

Been busier then a frog on a black top road in the summer.
Had Fixerupper stop by this morning and we hung out for a few hours and at the same time had a guy come in and buy 100 square bales of hay. Then made a quick run to town to do a little shopping with the wife and get a few parts so I can rewire my ford 841 that had the wiring smoke a few weeks ago. Then took to old W Speed Patrol up to the neighbors and graded his drive way. He told me I wasn't charging him enough when I said $5 to cover fuel. I did tell him later I'd get him back this summer what doing square bales and have him help pick them up. Then after grading his drive I came home did chores and then went out an mounted the new solinion on the 841 so I'm one step closer on the wiring on it

Took the wife to work, went to a storage unit auction to see what I couldn't live without (got everything I need, I guess). After that I picked up the wife, went to the grocery store now we're hunkering down through our latest snowstorm. Another 1-6 inches evidently.

Got up this morning with chills and fever, took Tylenol and went back to bed. Up again at 11, more Tylenol. Got up late this afternoon and watched a movie, now looking at Yesterday's Tractors

Tried to pick up tractors, but they were froze down. Did get 1 f-12 home was hoping to get at least 4 home. O-well it still was a nice day.

Got up. Ate a bowl of cereal. Friend called and we went to Menard's. Came home. Plowed driveway. Swept out the garage floor. Cleaned ice out of the gutters. Took my son sledding. Then we went to Taco Bell. Now home surfing my favorite web site.

Bet you are sorry you asked now.

Hey Toolz.
Post pictures as your able!

Lee Komnick gave us a free "stay" down in Florida a couple of weeks ago! Wife didn't want to go because of volley ball - Go figure?

Oh Well, still kinda nice in central Illinois

Still waiting to hear what the glennster bought, the Howell's did and billonthefarm/Wrigley did today!

I went on a tractor ride with a group from the Florida Flywheelers. We went through the fertilizer mine area and ended up in Fort Meade for an excellent barbequed chicken lunch. This evening we topped it off with a spaghetti dinner. It was a fun day and I got both a little windburn and sunburn.

kruser, the auction is coming up this friday at 9 am, either send me a nuther blank check or get yer hinney up here!! met a y-t er yesterday afternoon, old art stopped up at the shop, we had a real good visit!! worked over at my apartment building today for a while, and going to work on the secret mens club cabin in the woods tomorrow. may even haul some firewood out of the timber, but prolly get the backhoe stuck again!!!

I backbladed the driveway today. It worked up pretty well and put a couple of tons of gravel down where I back up. Unloaded a trailer of hay, got up a couple of pound cows and a herd bull to sell Monday, fed, and made a hay delivery. S.o. took me out to eat tonight. Sitting around having some fermented wheat and watching the olympics now.

Went on a fire call this morning, then worked on replacing some disk bearings and had to stop on that to feed livestock. After that, I started another barrel of corn soaking for the hogs.

We get him on the local channels. WKAR channel 23 out of East Lansing and WGVU channel 35 from Grand Rapids.
