6' king kutter II tiller

I have an opportunity to purchase this tiller from a local Hobby farmer. Any feedback on it? two years old $900 used very little.

I've got a 5' King Kutter tiller that I've run for the past 5+ years thru sod, sand and everything in between - haven't broken it yet!
Do need a hydrostat or real low first gear.

Can't go too far wrong the price, IFFFFF it's in good condition
 
I have a 6 foot king cutter roto-tiller,I use it on my 1020 John Deere,38 HP. works great in low gear in sod or tilled ground like a garden,mine is 5 years old.
 
Jump on it! I'm not much on the rest of King Kutters line-up, but the KKII series tillers are by far rhe best product they sell, and I'll go out on a limb and say it's the best tiller for the buck you'll find. They don't show up on the used market that often. I'd bet you could re-sell it for a little profit should you not like it.

Check the both gear boxes for issues. Check oil level. Then start tilling everything in sight!
 
Have one, had it for 3 years. It is a dirt eating machine. Pull it with a 4600 Ford. If the one you are looking at is in good shape, jump on it.
 
I think they are build pretty stout for the price. Just make sure it ain't beat to death.

I have borrowed the neighbors on and off for 5 years. On time, I heard a loud racket at his house (1/4 mile away). And he out there tilling the limestone driveway!!!!!!!! Or attempting to I should say. The tiller is bouncing all over the place. Another time I stopped by and he was trying to till clay in July.

Needless to say this tiller is still going strong. I have repaired and rewelded around the hitch area for him. Surprisingly, that is all the real damage he has done to the tiller. I replaced the side gasket seal on it. He couldn't figure out why the bolts loosened up.

I don't even want to start on all the other equipment I have watched him destroy over the years.
