I would never recomend this to anyone but here s what I did to get rid of lots of moisture in a old worn out hyd system on one of my tractors . I poured in 2 bottles of Heet. Yep ! Been 2 yrs. now & no moisture or problems . Figured nothing to loose. Still working good .

I have used Heet more then once in a lot of things. Frozen trannys/rear ends hyds and fuel systems. Shoot did that not long ago in the transmission on my ford 841 when it froze up from having water in the oil. About all Heet is is alcohol so it does not hurt any thing unless you pour in way to much of it

Gee people are having heart attacks over alcohol in gasoline and you guy are pouring it in everything and adding praise.

I'm confused.

How much did you heet did you put in your transmission on your ford 841 old. dyo figure it would work in my ford naa

A fellow was in Iowa on vacation in his motor home. It got to running bad and he took it to a garage. They blames it on the ethanol in the gas and added a can of Heet it fix it. Go figure.

Alcohol absorbs water and in the case of ice it will thaw it out and absorb it. Oh and by the way if you have ever drank to much and had a hang over the hang over is because of lack of water in you body/brain and that is why you have a head ache

Seafoam makes a specail can to deal with trannies & hydrailics. Spendy, and different than the stuff you put in fuel tanks. Don't see it everywhere, but might be better for some uses.

heet is just anhydrous isopropanol alcohol and it makes a solution well with water since all the water is removed from it. It also evaporates rapidly so the water is most likely gone in a short period of time.
