Aftermarket seat in photo ads

If you guys could look at the seat and tell me who made the suspension for it. Have one on an H Farmall and could use a new shock(it's inside the spring) mine has a gabriel shock but the number didn't do any good at the auto parts place. thanks chris
 
I think that seat was made by a company called Knoedler. They have a web site, but it looks like they are into truck and military seats. They do have an 800 number you might call.

Back in the good old days Knoedler and Monroe Easy Ride were the big after market seat makers.
 
Cockshutt used the same brand for a premium seat on the round nose tractors.

If you need those ball bearings agco will have them just look up for a 30,35,40 or 50.

As to the shock don't know if the aftermarket used the same one but there is a close one available. If you have a good auto parts store you should be able to go by dimensions. You just about need to go to a store that still has books and has someone who knows how to use them.

I know NAPA has one that works on the cockshutt's. It isn't a perfect match but it works. I have been told to steer clear of charged shocks for this which makes sense.

Nother person to get ahold of is Phil Heisey or any other Cockshutt collector.

I think I still have the second shock from when I redid my 40's seat as you had to buy them by the pair.

Oh yeah you need to shorten the studs on the ends also.

I don't have the ability to do that, thanks anyway, I'm going to Napa and check on the part number Ken listed. chris
