I have had in my possession for many yrs. this 1959, 570cockschutt backhoe. I'm trying to find out something about it's value? I've checked on this web site and also on My Tractor Forum but cannot find any info.So if any one knows anything that would be so great. Thanks for your help.

P.S. this an all factory hoe not a 3 pt. add on also factory loader.

Hi Farmer, I live about 8 miles south of Rochester Indiana. The Hoe and Loader are fully attached to the rear and belly of the tractor. There is no pto on the rear,an no drawbar. The hydraulic pump is driven off the crankshaft at the front of the motor. This is a industrial backhoe, it will dig 14'ft.I purchased the outfit about 20 yrs.ago.I was told that the White County Highway Department bought it as there "big job" backhoe. The rear tires are 18.4x34and stand 5ft. tall, the fronts are 7.50x 18. The weight of the hoe is 7,000 lbs.
The hydraulics are made by "wagner". The hoe has normal wear and tear on ,could use a new paint job,the rear main seal needs to be replaced, however you can use it all day long and it will only drop a quart of oil.The ser #on the engine block is 3301570 and the ser# on loader is w71c4050 and also the # 230 ser.The # on the loader is hard to make out and there is no #on the hoe I would the assume the loader #is also for the hoe. This is all I have at this time but any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks ,ward359

do not know your machine but these items effect "value":

how tight are the pins?

gas or diesel?

how old are the hoses?

what do the tires look like?

how much work does unit need before it can do decent amount of useful work?

how tweaked is the front bucket?

stuff like that, also depends on how much cash is floating around today looking to buy rusty old junk (my wife"s opinion of my treasures)

around here (filthy wilds of upstate NY) older usable machines in decent condition run $5-7k

By all means post your question on the Oliver- Cockshutt Forum. I have a 570 diesel, but have never seen a backhoe. Some of the Cockshutt guys like Irv or Phil maybe can answer your questions.
