Just walked in from the NFMS Louisville, Ky.
Was wondering if anyone else has attended and what their take was.
Big crowd, lots of new, tractor and impl.
New Skid Steer from KUBOTA caught my eye
what else did anyone else see that looked good..?

Two both post.. Got thru with tractor pulling along about 1975. Back then you could take 20 grand and pull prety competive up there. We had a 190 ac that turned in to a ac 200 before we retired it. Now you can walk thru the staging area and anything less than 100 thousand unit want be in the show.. Really came a long way in my days. Pictures..no could not figure out how to post them if I had some. I did pick up about all I could tote in litature..Best I can figure this was my 33 trip they seem to run together.

Back in 1971 a room off of the West wing housed All tractors that would be pulling that week , the crews were eager to talk to anyone that happened in the room Although it was notopen to public , it was not secured while the owners were there tinkering either . FFA kids and I used to go there for 2 straight days...Crowd was double today as yesterdays run at show.. Anymore , ALL of The Hi-TECH And Expensive Large equipment Intimidates me to the point of bewilderment , and I wish it were not So ,. . Today sat in a orange AGCO/FENDT . Very nice, Large computorized , Nitrogen exhaust injected ...,Just could not imagine ever buying one new for my farm and getting 60 years of TROUBLEFREE work Like the OL'DC CASE in the barn

Went Wednesday. It gets bigger every year. Lots & lots of walking. Engines in those tractors cost $250,000 +

I guess I share your thoughts. After being around it for 40 plus years it is mine blowing to go there and see some of the things and even think of some farmer being abel to pay for such. Yof mentioned the Agco/Fendt, think of paying for that thing and two years from now agco decides tht is not going to be one of the lines they wil keep. Lots to think about when you look ate the big picture. Agco is rolling a big ball now, looks like they are moving strong to the Massey brand with less emphasis on some of the others.

Massey definately seems to be the favorite small end that agco favors ,, cat/lexion isfavorite on the large end ..i fear you are correct ,and ,look for them to close the lid on orange paint with the exception of gleanor, lot of loyal folks still farming ,nh/ford will holsd their own... i miss 1969-78,, To Me those years were The best years to live and love in AMERICA. although I was busy workin' , it all seemed like playing contact sports that I loved, and everyone kept handing me the ballexpecting me to raise the score
