OT---House window identification

I recently moved into a home that was built in 1989. I have never seen this type windows.
They are aluminum, double pane, with bottom moveable. They have screens on the OUTSIDE and, what is unusual, they have STORM windows that are removable and adjustable on the INSIDE.
The release mechanism for the main, double pane glass, on the inside, consists of two small leavers that can slide on a track at bottom of window.
I am in need of replacing two of these windows but there is no identification name or numbers on any of them.
I have been told that some mobile homes have windows like this but these are much bigger and thicker.
Can someone give information or have suggestions?

Jiles try looking on expander bar for a series of numbers this is the bar around edge of window that seperates the double panes. if you can find one there or under the bottom edge of sash and post back.

(quoted from post at 01:05:01 02/09/10) If you are in canada they were made by Hunt;pela no longer with us . good reason why there gone no thermal pain.
I am in N.W. Alabama--these are thermal pain.
I just double checked them again for identification and found nothing. I have never seen a quality product that didn't have a name or number somewhere. Maby someone removed the identification.
They seem to be quality made and are still very tight.

That almost sounds like they are AMSCO windows. They used to be popular around here before vinyl windows came about. They have one of the worst warranties now. If you have moisture between the glass you have lost the seal on the thermopane and you will have to buy the replacement. Then you can expect to do it again in about 8 years or so. They have a bad case of seal failures.

Jiles e-mail me a picture with some closeups if you can or post them. I am a manager of a lumberyard . If nothing else I can ask some of my window reps and they could probably identify.
