Had some help grading the drive way

Now if I could just teach him how to steer this 1947 W Speed Patrol I would have it made. Yep he rode almost all of the 2 miles of grading work I did today. I figured since there calling for snow tonight I'd get the gravel back in the center of the road so when I hit it with the V-Plow there would be gravel to move with the snow instead of just digging deeper

Nothing like a good dog. I wish mine was still around, but I get too attached It's like losing a close friend when they go. Great pics Mike

Does it take alot to operator the grader ?? I heard it takes 3 hands ... and you go slow ...

Just wondering .... never had a change to operator one ...

Wish I had that old Chevy truck in the background and my old Suzy dog that used to ride all over in the truck like that I had when I was a kid. I had to give Suzy to God and Dad gave the truck to the junk man.

Hey old is that an AMC wagon in the background? I had a 1980 or 81 I think that was pretty sweet I bought at an estate auction they couldn"t get a bid on it and it was cherry. I ran it for several years even used it for a field service vehicle kept my toolbox in it all the time. Never had a moments trouble with it. The interior was perfect. I sold it for three times what I paid for it to a guy who bought it for his son who was in college who wrecked it a week after he got it. He pulled out in front of a semi that knocked the whole front end off of it at the firewall, he walked away fortunately.

That's one of my favorite trucks too. I had a '48 panel truck for a while, sold it because I couldn't afford to keep it on the road at the time but always liked the way they look.

That is a 1984 AMC Eagle wagon. I sold it a few weeks back but the people who payed for it have not come and picked it up yet. Might be because of the weather we have been having lately

That truck is a 1951 Chev, my son owns it and plans to fix it up after he get out of the navy. It has a rebuilt 216 engine sitting in it and I drove it to where it is parked right now

You need more then 3 hands. You have to use one hand to steer, then you need 2 hands for the 2 blade wheels and then a spare for the hand brakes. I have had this machine now for about 15 plus years so I have sort of got the hang of it now

Well that machine is almost a 2 man type thing so if he could steer it I would work the clutch and hand wheels for the blade.
Bet you can not guess the breed of that dog. Oh and by the way he is around 13 years old

Well after a person runs it up and down my drive way you have a bruise behind your right knee because to use both hand wheels you right knee sits just in front of the left edge of the seat. You can only run it and work it when standing up no way to do it sitting down. If you hit something in the road that doesn't want to move it can/will almost throw you over the hood and believe me that does not feel good at all. And of course today I really needed one more hand just to sort of keep a hand on the dog so he would not try to fall off. His back legs did slip off the seat once so I had to help him back on and try to come to a stop at the same time. Oh and by the way this dog also rides motorcycles, other tractors, 4 wheelers and in cars and trucks. If it goes he wants to go for a ride

He is 1/2 pit bull, 1/4 chawawa (sp) and 1/4 Australian Shepard. His dad was a full blood pit and his mom was 50/50 of the other 2. Tippie was born on the place 13 or so years ago. He has always been a want a ride type dog and if you do not give him his ride he will follow you instead which at times can/does cause problems

Who did the chihuaha??????????????

Cahwawa as in that little Mexican dog that barks it head off and is as mean as they come. Try as I might I can not spell it close enough for my spell check to spell it

The AMC 4x4 small station wagon is a classic example of failed market timing. We had several running around our area in the 80's and everyone who had one loved it. AMC Eagle never took off, but in 1991 Ford came out with the Explorer (basically a 4x4 small station wagon) and the SUV market was born. I've always thought AMC (Jeep, Kiaser, Willys, etc) had engineering ahead of thier time but they failed while others succeeded with a lessor product just better marketing.

Its not a WC it is a 1947 Allis W Speed Patrol yes based on the WC tractor but not a WC and no I do not use it I have it on more for looks then any thing else

Well not sure since I got the female dog when I got my wife it was her dog. She was short and had long hair like the Aus has but other then that I don't no. Oh and here is my Co-pilots son. He is a spooky pup since he was born on Halloween. His mother was a full pit and his dad you have seen. He is so mean he will lick you to death LOL. Oh be careful looking at the picture you might go blind from seeing the ugly one. ME

Yep like the MM UDLX tractor that had a cab way back in the late 30s early 40s. But look now days and what do you see cabs all over the place. I still want a UDLX but guess I'll never find one at my price and if I do I'll probably not keep it long because of what they sell for

Well he does more then just chase mice. Since he is half pit bull he isn't afraid of any thing but he is to small to do much if he does chase something very big. He is old enough that he doesn't have much for teeth any more but hes old

I have a truck like that. It is a five window cab, southern california, high desert, all its life. needs alot of TLC. Complete, good glass. For salefor what I think is a reasonable price. 760/245/3402 CHUCK

Yup, mine was two wheel drive but still a very nice vehicle thought I'd never get home with it because the catalyst was plugged and smelled like crap tried running with the pedal to the floor but not much help I talked to an old neighbor mechanic down the street and he gave me a concoction to put in the tank for awhile until it got better which included hi-test gas after a couple weeks she straightened up and took off. I believe mine was a four cylinder and got at least 25 to 30 mpg on the highway and with A/C.
